Wrap Tofu in paper towel. Place on cutting board. Put heavy plate on top for 20 minutes. Mix sauce ingredients together in a sauce pan over medium low heat and let simmer. Dry Tofu with paper towel and cut into cubes. Dust with cornstarch. Heat canola oil in pan and pan fry Tofu until lightly browned. Place in a bowl and toss with 2/3 cup of the sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions and toss gently.
Serve with whole grain pasta or brown rice. Top with remaining sauce.
